About
Rita Wicks is a Chicago-based, classically trained actor, coach, and educator whose work aims to foster connection, challenge limiting societal norms, and uplift underrepresented voices. She received her training from Illinois State University and Columbia College Chicago, where she earned her B.A. in Acting. Her notable credits include Is God Is at A Red Orchid Theatre—a Jeff Award–nominated production—as well as Chicago P.D. (NBC), Some Sort of Saint (Dir. Taron Patton), The Blackside (Congo Square Theatre), Splash Hatch On The E Going Down (Definition Theatre). Additional work includes collaborations with Theatre Wit, Shattered Globe Theatre, The Gift Theatre, Perceptions Theatre, and Ghostlight Ensemble Theatre. She is represented by Lori Lins Ltd.
