About
It’s the night before the Glass Globe Gala, and the members of Asé Shakerz African dance team are squeezing in one last practice before their history-making performance as the first Black student group to headline their university's annual multicultural celebration event. When one team member suddenly decides she's no longer performing, tensions run high and members clash as the group fights to figure out the best way forward for their performance and the future of the team. Asé Shakerz is a comedy full of African music and dance that asks how we preserve culture and what it takes to leave a legacy.
